2021 ALL Youth Class Graduation
Presented in partnership with Lima Rotary Foundation and Lima Memorial Health System
Allen Lima Youth Leadership, now in its 21st year, is a county and city wide youth leadership program for high school sophomores and juniors. The ALL Youth Leadership program actively involves, educates and challenges youth to reach their fullest potential as leaders.
High school sophomores and juniors learn about their wider community, discover and develop their own leadership styles and practice team building and communication skills.
Allen Lima Youth Leadership began as a project of the ALL Class of 1995, and the program was re-adopted by the Class of 2007.
About the program
Up to 35 students from Allen County public and parochial high schools, as well as home-school students, participate each school year with an orientation and several themed days, similar to the adult Signature Course. Themes include “Understanding Self and Leadership,” “Diversity Is a Fact of Life,” and “Government and Public Speaking.” Students respond to issues important to them with group-determined service projects.
Apply today
Each spring, Allen Lima Leadership makes the ALL Youth program application available online and through high school guidance counselors. The ALL Youth Committee selects participants from a highly competitive field: About three times as many students apply than are selected each year. Tuition is free. Students apply in the spring, are notified of acceptance in late summer and begin their class in the fall.
