ALL donates to family groups

LIMA – Allen Lima Leadership donated to two area organizations Tuesday funds that stem from a class project.

Allen Lima Leadership donated $1,000 each to Allen County Children Services and Fathers Accountable for Children’s Tomorrows. The funding behind these donations has a special story.

The Class of 2008 adopted the Hope Visitation Center as its project, but the center closed, and that left a little more than $1,700 sitting in an account. The ALL Board of Directors chose to clear the account by approving donations to programs that both help strengthen families. Outgoing ALL board member and International Tank Service President Everett “Butch” Kirk, who has served on ALL’s board for seven years, stepped forward to donate funding to make an even $2,000 that the board approved splitting between the two groups.

Allen Lima Leadership (ALL) is a county-wide leadership program that develops new leaders for our community. ALL promotes positive change in the Allen/Lima community by providing an education that improves understanding of community issues, institutions, self and others and training individuals in advanced leadership principles. The program is divided into 10 monthly sessions. Each session includes studying community issues as well as specific leadership training.
